About This Place

Welcome to Anatolia Turkish Kebab House, a gem nestled in the heart of Dunedin at 152 Princes Street. With its enticing aroma of grilled meats wafting through the air, this restaurant offers an authentic taste of Turkish cuisine that is sure to delight your senses. As a food reviewer for Menuverge, I must say, stepping into Anatolia feels like a culinary journey straight to the streets of Turkey.

The menu is a celebration of flavors, showcasing a variety of dishes that highlight fresh, quality ingredients. One standout option is the Large Shish Kebab Wrap, available in chicken, kofta, or lamb. Each wrap features cubes of expertly charcoal-grilled protein, enveloped in a warm wrap, paired with a vibrant mixed salad, making it not only hearty but also refreshing. At NZ$31.50, it satisfies both hunger and palate with its unforgettable taste. Diners rave about the homemade sauces that elevate the experience, enabling a unique burst of flavor in every bite.

For those seeking something lighter, the Small Doner Kebab Pita offers a delightful alternative. Priced at NZ$19.20, this pita pocket is filled with flavorful doner, accompanied by a selection of sauces that allow for customizability in each order. It’s the perfect grab-and-go option while still offering the essence of Turkish street food.

Guests frequently commend the cozy and clean atmosphere at Anatolia, perfect for enjoying a meal solo or with friends, accommodating around 50 patrons. The quick service is a bonus, as highlighted by customers like Khalifa, who appreciated the fresh, tasty mix grill served promptly.

Don’t forget to save room for dessert! Try the baklava for a sweet finish—it's a community favorite, as noted by patrons eager to indulge in its luscious, nutty layers. While some might prefer to avoid the hummus, the overall variety and quality of offerings make visiting Anatolia a rewarding experience.

The warmth of the staff complements the delicious food, creating an inviting environment where smiles and friendly service abound. As Marko Fogl described, it’s not just a meal; it’s a genuine, authentic experience that keeps patrons returning for more. With the combination of fresh recipes and heartfelt hospitality, Anatolia Turkish Kebab House has firmly established itself as one of the best kebab houses in New Zealand.

Plan your visit today, and immerse yourself in the fabulous flavors of Anatolia. You won't leave disappointed!

Amazing kebab! Good, fresh, quality ingredients. Loved the home made sauces! Great size!

Amazing little place that can fit about 50 people or so. It is really better than what I expected. I try the mix grill and I really really enjoined it. The meat is so fresh and testy. The service was fast it took about 12 minutes for me to get my order which is normal for fresh grill . For desert I tried the baclava which really good. The only thing I really did not like as much is the hummus. The rest I really enjoyed it. The staff was amazing and very friendly with great smile . Wish them the best I will definitely will stop my again whenever I am in town.

One of the best, if not the best kebab houses in NZ. The food is fresh and delicious served in a cozy and clean environment. The menu has a lot of variety. A truly authentic and genuine experience.

First time I ate here I think they got my order wrong, or overcharged me ($31) because on my second visit here I ordered a cheaper meal which came with more meat and more sauces and was way better. This (pictured) was the combination shish on rice, really good!!
